Sign up for the 6th Annual Old North End Yard Sale Day

Last year we had over 90 individual yard sales at the Old North End Yard Sale Day with hundreds of people walking our neighborhood for deals!  This year we expect even more!   Individuals can have their yard sales independently, or team up with neighbors and families to do it together. We also encourage cookie, lemonade and breakfast burrito stands!  ONEN will provide a listing on our website of yard sale addresses and items for sale. You can find out where the sales are, or locate neighbors who would possibly like to combine efforts.

When you sign up to participate, the ONEN will also provide:
* Free Advertising – The yard sale will be listed in local papers, the ONEN website, our e-blasts, and community flyers
* Free Yard Sale sign for you, and signage within the neighborhood
* Maps with addresses and a listing of items for sale – download at the ONEN website

It’s a great event!  Stroll around and meet your neighbors, buy lemonade and cookies from the kids, and even barter for some great treasures.

To sign up for the Yard Sale Day, please provide the following info (Note: only the address and listing of sale items will be published):
– Name
– Address
– Phone number or email address
– Brief listing of items (you can add to this later as the yard sale day gets closer)

Yard sales must be registered by June 11 to be on the map and receive a sign.  The week of June 11, we will distribute signs, maps and more information to Yard Sale participants.

P.S. – Yard Sale Sign Amnesty:   if you have a green/white ONEN Yard Sale sign from previous years, please return it to 2013 Wood Avenue.  We lost over 30 signs last year!

For everything you don’t sell at the ONEN yard sale, here is a great way to unload, help ARC and help Steele Elementary:

As a fundraiser for Steele Elementary an ARC truck will be parked at the intersection of Wood and Espanola (1806 Wood Avenue) on June 16 and 17. Please bring your unsold garage sale items, or any other items to the truck. The truck will be open from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 16 and from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday, June 17th.

If you need to drop your items off at another time you can contact Ana Zook at 719 650-4504 and she will arrange to open up the truck for you. No items can be dropped off prior to 2 p.m. Saturday as multiple garage sales will be in progress in the surrounding area. Steele Elementary will receive cash from the ARC based on the amount of goods collected. Steele has received over $1750 from the ARC for goods collected this school year. Please bring anything and everything you have.

If the ARC trailer is full here is another convenient option:

Goodwill is scheduled to be at the Corpus Christi Catholic School on June 16 from 1:00 P.M. to approximately 3:30 P.M. The truck will be parked at the north east corner of their building near Cascade Ave. They will have personnel at the truck to assist in any donations from any of the Old North End garage sale participants. This should make it very convenient for the residents that decide to donate. Receipts will be available. I sincerely hope the garage sale event is successful.
