The Sign Shop at the City of Colorado Springs has begun installing additional historic-looking street-name signs in the Old North End. These are the street-name signs that have black lettering on a white background and include a small “Old North End” sign on top.
City sign crews will be working on the signs sporadically as weather permits. It therefore may take a while, perhaps into early summer, before all the historic-looking street-name signs are erected. When the project is completed, all intersections (except those with a traffic signal) within the official boundaries of the Old North End Neighborhood will have a historic-looking street-name sign.
Thank you to our Historic Preservation Committee for coming up with the Old North End street sign design and for working with the City to accomplish this project.
Thank you to all of ONEN’s dues paying members who made it possible to fund this project.
