ONEN Tree Planting Program Spring 2019
The ONEN ordered and picked up 43 trees from Trees Across Colorado (TAC) on Thursday April 18th, 2019. ONEN resident, Rob Harrison assisted Vic Appugliese with picking up the ONEN & Middle Shooks Run Neighborhoods orders.
Every ONEN neighbor received with their tree/s, planting & watering instructions, free mulch from the City’s free mulch pile, and an ONEN water bag. Linda Buffetti and Vic provided the copies for planting & watering instructions, plastic bags for transportation, picked up the mulch, and stenciled the water bags. They also assisted with planting 4 trees for neighbors who needed some help.
ONEN purchased an additional 26 water bags. All 26 water bags were stenciled with the “ONEN Tree” label. A few ONEN neighbors returned previous years water bags. Most of them were re-stenciled and sent back out into the neighborhood. Any neighbors with bags that are no longer being used can return them at any time to 222 E San Miguel St.
The 43 ONEN trees:

- 10- Northern Catalpa
- 10- Bur Oak
- 10- Glenleven Linden
- 3- Shumard Oak
The trees were planted on these streets and along the Shooks Run Trail (Legacy Loop) within the ONEN.
